What does Bali VIP Villa actually arrange for guests?
Bali VIP Villa is an independent villa rental concierge. We don’t own the villas we book; we curate stays with vetted villa owners and operators across Bali, then coordinate add-on services through them and through local vendors we’ve worked with. Below is the full catalogue: private chef, airport transfer, daily housekeeping, events, yacht and car hire, and in-villa spa, with honest notes on what’s bundled and what bills separately.
Which services come standard with most villas?
Some things are already baked into the nightly rate at most properties we list. These vary by villa, so we confirm the exact inclusions in writing before you pay a deposit. As a general pattern, here’s what tends to be included versus what is almost always an add-on.
| Service | Usually included | Usually extra |
|---|---|---|
| Daily light housekeeping | Yes (1x/day, most villas) | Deep clean / second daily service |
| Villa manager on call | Yes | — |
| Pool & garden maintenance | Yes | — |
| Welcome drink / fruit basket | Often | Stocked grocery pantry |
| Private chef | Rarely | Yes (per meal or daily rate) |
| Airport transfer | Sometimes (4+ night stays) | Yes, for most bookings |
| In-villa spa | No | Yes |
| Daily breakfast | Some villas | Most villas |
The honest takeaway: assume a service is an add-on unless your booking confirmation says otherwise. We’d rather under-promise here than have you arrive expecting a chef who was never contracted.
How does the private chef service work?
A private chef is one of the most-requested add-ons. We coordinate it through the villa’s own staff roster where one exists, or through independent chefs the villa management recommends. You tell us preferences (dietary needs, halal, Western, Indonesian, a specific birthday menu) and we relay them to the chef before arrival.
What you’re paying for typically breaks down as:
- Chef labour — a daily or per-meal rate, often IDR 350,000–600,000 per meal for a small group, as of June 2026. Rates rise for large groups and multi-course events.
- Groceries — billed at cost, usually with receipts. We ask chefs to itemise so there are no surprises.
- Market run — some chefs charge a small shopping fee or fold it into the labour rate.
Breakfast is sometimes included with the villa; lunch and dinner usually are not. We confirm the chef’s availability per date because popular chefs book out, especially around Nyepi, Christmas, and the July–August peak. We can’t guarantee a specific named chef, only that we’ll do our best to secure your first choice.
What airport transfer options can you book?
We arrange private transfers between Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) and your villa through the villa’s preferred driver or a licensed transport partner. This is a paid add-on for most stays, though a handful of villas include one arrival transfer on longer bookings.
Typical points we lock in beforehand:
- Vehicle type — standard car (up to 3 passengers), MPV/Avanza-class (up to 5–6), or a larger van for groups and luggage.
- Meet-and-greet — a driver waiting inside the arrivals hall with a name board.
- One-way vs return — return airport drops are quoted separately.
A one-way private transfer to Seminyak or Canggu commonly runs IDR 250,000–450,000 as of June 2026; Ubud, Uluwatu, and the Bukit cost more because of distance and traffic. Bali traffic is genuinely unpredictable, so we build buffer time and won’t promise an exact arrival minute. Send us your flight number and we’ll match the pickup to it.
What about daily housekeeping and laundry?
Most villas we list include once-daily housekeeping in the rate: bed-making, bathroom refresh, tidying common areas, and pool/garden upkeep handled by the villa’s own team. What’s typically not included:
- A second daily clean or turndown service
- Laundry and pressing (often charged per piece or per kilo)
- Restocking minibar, snacks, or specialty groceries
If you want a higher service level (a live-in butler-style setup, multiple cleans a day, or a dedicated nanny), we’ll ask the villa whether their staff can extend hours and what that adds to your total. Staffing depends on the property; not every villa can scale up on short notice.
Can you organise events, yacht hire, and car rental?
Yes, within limits, and always through licensed local operators rather than anything we run ourselves.
Events and celebrations. Birthdays, anniversaries, intimate dinners, proposals, small private parties. We coordinate décor, a chef or caterer, and sometimes a bartender or musician through vendors the villa works with. Larger events may need the villa owner’s written approval and can carry noise-hour limits or a security deposit, which we’ll flag upfront. We don’t run a wedding-planning department; for full weddings we’ll refer you to a specialist.
Yacht and boat hire. Day charters, sunset cruises, and trips toward Nusa Penida or the Gili Islands, arranged through licensed charter operators. Pricing depends on the vessel, group size, fuel, and season. We pass on the operator’s quote and terms; we don’t operate the boats and can’t override their safety or weather decisions.
Car and driver hire. A car with an English-speaking driver by the half-day or full day is one of the easiest things to set up in Bali. Self-drive rentals are also possible, though we’ll be candid about Bali traffic, licensing requirements, and insurance before you decide.
| Add-on | Booked through | What we need from you |
|---|---|---|
| Private chef | Villa staff / recommended chef | Dates, headcount, dietary needs |
| Airport transfer | Villa driver / transport partner | Flight number, passenger & luggage count |
| Event / celebration | Villa-approved vendors | Date, guest count, vibe, budget |
| Yacht / boat charter | Licensed charter operator | Date, group size, destination |
| Car + driver | Local transport partner | Dates, hours, pickup point |
| In-villa spa | Mobile spa / villa-recommended therapist | Treatments, number of guests, timing |
How does in-villa spa work?
We book mobile therapists who come to your villa with their own table, oils, and equipment, sourced through the villa’s recommended providers. Balinese massage, couples treatments, facials, and reflexology are the common requests. It’s billed per treatment, and rates depend on the therapist and the length of session. We schedule around your other plans, but availability is finite, so earlier requests get better slots.
What does Bali VIP Villa charge, and what isn’t included?
We’re a concierge, so our role is coordination: matching you to the right villa, confirming exactly what’s included, and arranging add-ons with vendors. Pricing for chefs, transfers, spa, charters, and events comes from those vendors and the villa, and we pass their quotes to you in writing. We can’t control vendor rate changes, seasonal surcharges, or weather-driven cancellations, and we don’t guarantee any specific outcome, named staff member, or fixed arrival time. All figures above are indicative as of June 2026 and subject to change.
What we can promise is straight answers. If a service isn’t realistic for your villa, dates, or budget, we’ll tell you before you commit.
